Coming off of an interesting past few months, Christina Aguilera now appears with her fellow "The Voice" coaches in this promo video for the NBC show. Ms. Aguilera joins Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green, and Adam Levine on the show - with Carson Daly hosting! (ps: Where the heck has Carson been?)

Christina Aguilera Grammy 2011 Performance for Aretha Franklin

The 53rd annual Grammy Awards kicked off with an incredible tribute to soul diva Aretha Franklin. Featured performers included Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride, Florence Welch and Yolanda Adams tackling Franklin's classics.

"The ladies kicked things off with a group performance of '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman' before launching into solos of 'Ain't No Way,' 'Until You Come Back to Me,' 'Think,' 'Respect' and 'Spirit in the Dark.' The divas closed with 'Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves.'"

Many called this a redemption performance for Christina who brought her A-game on 'Ain't No Way'- after the superbowl slip-up.

Christina Aguilera Sings Star Spangled Banner at Superbowl 45 [Video]

She may have slipped up on the lyrics, but we stand behind Christina. Twitter and Facebook went wild calling her names, making fun of her appearance and attempting to say that she's can't really sing. We're biased- but her vocal ability is definitely not joke-worthy. Applause her for the effort!

Christina Aguilera "Bionic" Album Review + Tracklisting + Videos

Christina Aguilera released her fourth studio album, Bionic, on June 8th. I've listened to the full album and I'm happy to say that  Not Myself Tonight and Woohoo are NOT the best songs on the album! And that, is great news.

In my opinion the best songs on there are her power ballads (the stuff that sets her apart from her other competitors). Stripped, her second album, is still one of my all-time-favorites & you'll catch small glimpses of it in Bionic. She also reached out to our beloved Sia for some new song writing collabs! Four stand-out songs are All I Need  (a ballad about Aguilera's son Max), Lift Me Up,  I Am and You Lost Me

Overall, Aguilera seems to find herself somewhere between incredible vocals and over synthesized beats. Songs the album could live without: Vanity, I Hate Boys (a new-age version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun), Bobblehead and the excessive usage of the word "b*tch." And if you still want to harp on the albums 'all-over-ness' in song type, that's exactly the point of naming it 'Bionic.' The album was intended to focus on the duality found naturally in women and the aspects that essentially make us layered/ 'Bionic.'

Christina Aguilera = 40s Era Inspired Hair Style

Feminine and romantic, we're always fans of this style! I actually researched what the difference between 1940's/1950's/1960's hair- because each era seems to blend together for me in terms of beauty. I ended up finding some really interesting tid-bits. Want to know the differences?

In the 1920s short-boyish cuts were all the rage & then the 30s was all about finger waves and pinned curls. But, back in the 1940s, the predominant style was feminine and romantic. With soft curls falling onto the shoulders. Just imagine long, wavy natural hair gently blowing in the breeze, the invocation of the eternal feminine form. Most women wore their hair down for evening parties. The 1940s was a period when the world was going through a major economic crisis, thus forcing women to wear many up-do's during the day that were  practical to work in. Up-Do's consisted of neatly rolled hair around the nape and over the ears, often covered with a knotted headscarf.

This all changed in the 1950s when the look became more glamorous. The essential aspiration was to look like a domestic goddess, one who effortlessly did household work despite looking like a diva. In the early part of the fifties, the ponytail was the most popular hairstyle. The casual yet chic look offered by the ponytail had many takers among women. Evening looks consisted of a French pleat or chignon. However, in the later part of the fifties we see the origin of more elaborate and complicated hairstyles.

1960s hair whether "long, straight, curly, fuzzy" paid a great deal of attention to flexibility in length and cut.
On one end curls were all the rage-  Big deep ones, small tight ones and even spit curls. On the other end, Jackie O. popularized hair touching her shoulders and flipping it up with a pill box hat. Hippies, of course, prided themsleves on the defiance of style.

In the 60s The "bubble" aka bouffant also came into fashion. The hair was clipped shorter on the bottom and became longer as you worked your way up. The longest section was in the crown and top area for height. Everyone wanted height, thinking; that the more height they would have on the top of their head, the slimmer their body would look and there was only one way to accomplish this; teasing the hair in a nest-like shape.

And there is your beauty lesson, enjoy!
