Ralph Lauren Controversy

I love Mr.Lauren for many reasons (ps: you do know his from the bx, right?)- so It saddened me to hear that all this drama was going down with his models. You might have already seen the ridiculous photoshopped Ralph Lauren ad featuring Filippa Hamilton. After everyone cried "outrage" over the pic, Ralph Lauren issued an apology saying they take full responsibility.

You would think that a girl who is 5'10" and 120lbs should never be labeled overweight, right? What kind of message are these advertisers sending to the public?On the Today show this morning, Filippa said Ralph Lauren fired her because "they said I was overweight and I couldn't fit in their clothes anymore. I'm very proud of what I look like, and I think a role model should look healthy."

Ralph Lauren confirmed to the NYDN that they pink-slipped Filippa "as a result of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract with us."

What do you think the next ad should look like? I've seen a few funny suggestions... (I still love you Ralph, but what were you guys thinking?)
